What do I say... Some fortunate times, my office firewalls seem to be busted, so I can get a peek at banned sites and maybe even add blogs ;)

Today is Tuesday. I will be going home this Friday and coming back next Thursday! Yippeeee!

I love going to Kerala during the monsoons. Its just absolutely fab! The whole greenery gets dressed in dewy droplets, and the smell of fresh wet earth, just sails through the air! Yummmmmmyyyyy :D

Kerala is a wonderful place to be in, esp. if you are a nature lover! I recommend it to all you travellers! :D Of course, not every place is great, and you really won't see a full fledged city (like Bangalore/Bombay etc) anywhere in Kerala. Cochin comes close to being a city, but its rather quaint, and distinct. Its a mix of a lot of cultures, and you'll find typical Keralites co-existing with Tamilians, Telugus, Konkanis, Gujaratis, Rajasthanis, UP-ites etc... so in some places of Cochin, you bound to get this sense of Déjà Vu... as if you're in some other place altogether.

What's great about Kerala, is that no place is totally like a village either. Education has penetrated the land, quite a bit, so even the villagers aren't uneducated, and backward....

What I love of course, is the bed of green you see wherever you go! Flying into Kerala, is like flying into this green carpet under you... wherever you go, you see trees and greenery... natural lush flora.... And when it rains, you get to see this fantabulous (fantastic+fabulous, for the ignorant) emerald colour everywhere. The air is fresh, slightly cold, and dewy. Be there to experience it.

However, a word of warning: What you must know about the monsoons is that there are days that the rain never stops pouring in; So if you're the kind who hates to be cooped up at home, while its pouring cats and dogs outside the whole day, in fact the whole week... then, well, you may reconsider going to Ooty/Shimla or anywhere else ;)...

As for me, I am a true-blue rain child. I flourish in the rain, and don't mind getting all soggy! I've waded in knee deep water many a times, while going to school/college, and I've just enjoyed each moment :)

And I'm going to do that exactly, once I get home! I can write reams and reams about rains (and also complain vociferously about what a s**t city Bangalore is, since 2 days of continuous rains, brings about such floods/casualities that a whole year of rain wouldn't do to Kerala), but I should stop now. After all, I'm doing this all on office time! ;)

Okies, bye for now folks!
